Terms of Business

By booking Chris Davies Photography (“the Photographer”), you (“the Client”) agree to the following Terms of Business.
1. Booking & Agreement
A booking is confirmed once:

The booking form is completed, and
-
The booking fee is paid
By booking, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Business.
2. Payment
-
A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure the wedding date
-
The remaining balance is due no later than [e.g. 14 days] before the wedding
-
Payment details will be provided at the time of booking
Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of services.
3. Cancellations & Date Changes
Client Cancellation
-
The booking fee is non-refundable
-
If cancellation occurs after the balance has been paid, no refund will be given
Date Changes
-
Date changes are subject to availability
-
If the Photographer is unavailable for the new date, the booking fee remains non-refundable
4. Photographer Cancellation
In the unlikely event that the Photographer is unable to attend due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond control:

All payments made will be refunded OR
-
A suitable replacement photographer may be arranged (with Client approval)
Liability is limited to the amount paid.
5. Coverage & Style
Chris Davies Photography works in a documentary / storytelling style.

No specific images are guaranteed
-
No obligation exists to capture specific moments, people, or poses unless agreed in writing
-
The Photographer’s judgement is final regarding composition, editing, and image selection
6. Editing & Delivery
-
Images are edited in the Photographer’s signature style
-
Unedited RAW files are not supplied
-
Gallery delivery timeframe is typically 6-8 weeks
-
Preview images may be shared earlier at the Photographer’s discretion
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
7. Copyright & Usage

The Photographer retains full copyright of all images

The Client is granted a personal licence to:

Download
-
Print
-
Share for personal use
-
Images may not be sold, altered, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.
8. Photographer Promotion
Unless otherwise agreed, the Photographer may use images for:
-
Website
-
Portfolio
-
Social media
-
Marketing and promotion
If the Client wishes to opt out, this must be requested in writing before the wedding date.
9. Guest Interference & Conditions
The Photographer is not responsible for:
-
Missed moments due to guest interference
-
Restrictions imposed by venues, officiants, or weather
-
Limited coverage due to lateness or changes to the schedule
Clients are responsible for securing permission where photography restrictions apply.
10. Liability
-
The Photographer’s liability is limited to the total amount paid
-
No liability is accepted for circumstances beyond reasonable control
-
The Client is advised to have appropriate wedding insurance

11. Data Protection
Client data is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and UK GDPR.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
