Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of weddings do you photograph?
I photograph weddings for couples who care more about how the day felt than how it was staged.
My approach is documentary and story-led. I focus on real moments, genuine emotion, and the quieter in-between parts of the day that often mean the most.
How would you describe your photography style?
Relaxed. Observational. Unobtrusive.
I don’t direct the day or manufacture moments. Instead, I blend in and document things as they naturally unfold. I may offer gentle guidance when it comes to light or positioning, but there’s no forced posing or interruptions.
Do you pose couples at all?
Very little.
If something feels stiff or awkward, I’ll step back rather than push through it. When portraits happen, they’re simple, natural, and led by interaction rather than instruction.
How many photos will we receive?
Every wedding is different, but most full-day weddings receive between 400–700 carefully edited images.
I don’t cap numbers or pad galleries. The focus is on telling the full story honestly.
When will we receive our photos?
You can expect:
• A small preview gallery within a few days
• Your full edited gallery within 4–6 weeks
During busier months this can occasionally take a little longer, but I’ll always keep you updated.
How are the images delivered?
Your photos are delivered via a private online gallery where you can:
• Download high-resolution images
• Share the gallery with friends and family
• Order prints if you wish
The gallery is easy to use and accessible across devices.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes.
I’m based in South Wales and photograph weddings across the UK. Travel within South Wales is included. For weddings further afield, any additional costs are discussed clearly in advance.
What if it rains?
Rain changes plans, not stories.
Some of the most emotional and atmospheric moments happen in less-than-perfect weather. I’ll adapt and work with whatever the day brings.
Do you work with videographers?
Yes, absolutely.
I’m always happy to work alongside videographers and will do so discreetly and respectfully so neither of us interrupts the flow of the day.
Do you offer videography?
I currently focus exclusively on photography.
That allows me to give each couple my full attention and maintain a consistent, considered approach. .
Can we request specific photos?
If there are a few key family groupings or moments that are especially important, I’m always happy to discuss them.
That said, I don’t work from long shot lists. My focus is on observing the day rather than ticking boxes.
What happens if you’re unwell on the day?
In the very unlikely event that I’m unable to attend due to illness or emergency, I will either:
• Arrange a suitable replacement photographer, or
• Refund all payments made
Your peace of mind matters.
How do we book?
Once we’ve chatted and you’re happy to go ahead:
• You’ll complete a booking form
• A booking fee secures your date
From there, everything is locked in and confirmed.
Can we see full wedding galleries?
Of course.
I’m always happy to share full galleries so you can see how a complete day is documented from start to finish.
What if we’re not sure yet?
That’s completely fine.
Choosing a photographer is personal. If you’d like to talk things through or ask anything at all, there’s no pressure and no expectation.
If you’re looking for honest, story-led wedding photography that focuses on the moments you’ll feel long after the day has passed, I’d love to hear about your plans.
